Sack MMDCE's in areas still witnessing illegal mining - Anti Galamsey Advocate begs Akufo Addo.




The founder of Advocates for Anti Galamsey and Environmental Degradation is appealing to His Excellency the President of the  Republic of Ghana ,Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo not to hesitate to sack Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives ( MMDCE'S) whose jurisdictions illegal mining  ( Galamsey) activities are alarming. 


According to Mr Isaac Kobena Ochem, majority of the illegal miners are working for the MMDCE's and some npp party executives who also own these illegal miners which is making it very difficult for the military task force team to clamp down on them.


It is very clear that the ministry of Lands and Natural Resources with its sector Hon Samuel Abdulai Jinapor is doing the best he could to adopt all strategies to fight the Galamsey menace some of these MMDCE's and npp functionaries who are deeply involved in the act are making the work of the Lands and Natural Resources minister very difficult. 


Even though the task force team has chalked a lot successes through the arrest of these illegal miners and the destruction of their excavators and Chanfan machines the ordinary Ghanaian tax payers money is being wasted so far as Galamsey fight is concern. 


As an Anti Galamsey Advocate and Campaigner i can clearly see that government do not have the Political Will to fight the Galamsey menace because of the key involvement of some npp functionaries and MMDCE's. 


I am by this appealing and begging President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo not to hesitate to Sack MMDCE's who is deeply involved in the illegal mining activities to serve as a deterrent to others .

Crocodiles stranded in Sissala - Severe drought hits water habitat

  Crocodiles are totems for some groups of people in Northern Ghana, particularly in the Sissala enclave of the Upper West Region. The people revere the crocodiles and, therefore, protect them from any harm. Aside the belief system, these reptiles have also put the area on the world tourism map. In fact, the Sissala enclave's contribution to tourism through these reptiles is legendary. The communities where these reptiles are found are Taffiasi, Bujan, Nabugujan, Gwollu Wuljua and Duu East, all in the Sissala West District, as well as the Sissala East Municipality. Side Chick Stabbed Cheating Husband

  The Police at Adenta in the Greater Accra Region are holding a young Ghanaian lady known on Instagram as Safina Diamond for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend. According to reports, Safina Diamond stabbed her boyfriend who just came back from Canada weeks ago multiple times in the neck and stomach leading to his death. It’s unclear what led to the incident as the Police have not officially stated reason for the action. the Report said the lady took the action allegedly in self-defence as she is currently being held by the Adenta Court. Unconfirmed reports indicated that the deceased is a married man, who left his wife to meet the suspect, who also has a boyfriend. Further reports indicated that the two persons, Safina, and her boyfriend have been remanded into police custody and the case adjourned to August, 12th, 2022.
