Bono East: Five arrested over chaos at NDC regional office; one on admission

  Police in Techiman have arrested five people for their alleged involvement in an attack at the NDC regional office in the Bono East region. The suspects, according to a statement by the Police, are Kojo Agyei alias Kojo Cocaine, Illiasu Sulemana aka Oboot, Andrew Kemire, Fatau Abdallah and Alhaji Nuhu. The allegedly attacked the party office following some misunderstanding on Friday July 29,2022.One person sustained multiple knife wounds and is currently on admission at the Techiman Government Hospital.

Side Chick Stabbed Cheating Husband

  The Police at Adenta in the Greater Accra Region are holding a young Ghanaian lady known on Instagram as Safina Diamond for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend. According to reports, Safina Diamond stabbed her boyfriend who just came back from Canada weeks ago multiple times in the neck and stomach leading to his death. It’s unclear what led to the incident as the Police have not officially stated reason for the action. the Report said the lady took the action allegedly in self-defence as she is currently being held by the Adenta Court. Unconfirmed reports indicated that the deceased is a married man, who left his wife to meet the suspect, who also has a boyfriend. Further reports indicated that the two persons, Safina, and her boyfriend have been remanded into police custody and the case adjourned to August, 12th, 2022.

SIM card re-registration extended to September 30

  Government has extended the deadline for the SIM card re-registration to 30th September 2022. The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu disclosed this during a press briefing held today, Sunday, July 31, 2022. “The programme will be extended to 30 September to end the anniversary of its commencement which will give us a full year. Any sim that has not been registered by end of August will be barred from receiving services,” the Minister told the press. The government had initially set July 31 as the deadline for all persons to re-register their SIM cards with their Ghana Cards.   Persons who had failed to comply with the directive would have had their SIM cards deactivated. The regulations are to help law enforcement agencies to identify SIM card owners, track criminals who use phones for illegal activities, curb phone theft, hate text messaging, mobile fraud activities, and SIM Box fraud.
