HON. BENITO MEETS APPIATSE RECONSTRUCTION IMPLEMENTATION TEAM ON SITE PROGRESS

 



Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio, the Deputy Minister responsible for Lands and Forestry who is also the Chairman of the Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Team, (ARIT) has met with his team on Monday, 15th August, 2022 to get a briefing on the project from the consultants.


Having been briefed on the progress on site, Hon. Benito tasked AESL, the consultant for Appiatse Reconstruction project to summarise details of room sizes and other specifications for the project which he assured will be published in the dailies to answer questions the public may have on such issues.


The Deputy Minister also tasked the consultants to employ a project manager on site, who will regulate and scrutinize people who frequent the site in the name of visits.


He also asked that when the actual works begins, all saftey protocols must be strictly followed with identification clothes worn to clearly identify the contractors and labourers from visitors on the site.


With knowledge on a brief from the Rural housing team, Hon. Benito tasked them to as soon as practicable, set up and start the production of bricks for the construction and also decide on a workable date to train residents who are ready to work.


Hon. Owusu-Bio submitted to his team that as a matter of urgency, they should light the place up to keep residents and other intruders out at night.
